STORY ADAPTATION

FOXKNOT gathered around a campfire and exchanged thoughts about life. Feeling bored, Mama Papito took out his guitar and started playing a chinese song. Pakalu stared at him and started clapping along to the song. Shikubi and Banapal looked at each other and laughed for no apparent reason. Instead of singing along, Banapal started to tell them a tale...

LION KING: PERMAFROST

Elsa stared out through the frosted window. Thoughts were playing around in her mind. Ignoring the fact that her royal servant was still patiently awaiting her orders, she continued to stare at the land of her kingdom, moving her eyes to the direction of the heavily cloud-enfolded mountains at the north side of the palace. "Maybe, just maybe. One day, we shall travel across those mountains to discover what is in there!" Elsa told her servant who was still standing still by her side. She smiled as though she could imagine the magnificent abode of mythical creatures, undiscovered lands and abandoned kingdoms all hidden behind the dense, cloudy atmosphere.

Just a few days later, Elsa has already decided to fulfill her dreams, accomplish her mission and unfold the secrets of that mysterious place. A total of four hundred armed troops gathered and stood at the heavenly frozen gates of the palace in a formation, similar to that of a position for war. Elsa giggled a little when she saw that her army that has prepared their hearts to serve orders and escort the princess. She wore a silver helmet alongside with an armoured clothing, which was slightly encrusted with bits of snow. "No princess shall hide behind her troops like a coward. I shall proceed forward like a true leader," Elsa said in a brave, empress-like tone. Some of the soldiers tried to hide their laughs as they could not bear to imagine their princess in a battlefield. 

Soon after, the army of the Ice Palace embarked on their journey to the mysterious mountains. As they marched across the wide lands of pure snow, their feet were almost buried in thick, partially-melted permafrost. At last, they arrived at the edge of the dark valley, overshadowed by the clouds above. There was less snow here and it felt more like a tundra compared to their homelands. Without further inspection, Elsa and her troops entered the valley with no fears but with high hopes and courage instead. "RARGHHHHHHHH" They were ambushed by a pack of hungry, feral wolves.

The army strengthened their defense with a better formation and tried their best to not let their guard down. None of the wolves attacked but they were accompanied by more forces of wild animals such as bears, foxes, elks and other creatures. Elsa decided that it would best to make use of her abilities and powers now before her army pushes forward and fight. While she was channelling her energy, her troops were getting ready to commence a fatal battle. Before they all could do anything, the animals fled to the side and left a large pathway in the middle. Two feline figures could be spotted amidst the darkness and they turned out to be lions, kings of all the animal kingdoms. 

They slowly approached Elsa and her army without any sense of hostility. Elsa's eyes swept the line of animals to the male lion. "I see that all of you are just friendly neighbours wanting to have a look?" The male lion spoke with a calm tone. Elsa smiled and ordered her troops to sheathe their swords. "Call me Mufasa. This is my dear wife, Sarabi. Welcome to the land of Lion King," the male lion, which was now known as Mufasa, uttered with a smile slowly drawn on his face. Elsa felt a sudden sense of relief and replied, "Okay... Alright. Kind enough to show us around?" Mufasa let out a loud laugh and commanded his animals to greet the guests. 

The lions guided Elsa through the dark valley and eventually presented the true beauty of their kingdom, which was hidden behind the mountains. Elsa was speechless to witness such exquisite beauty. She could hardly believe her own eyes and as to how such a serene place like this would exist. Mufasa and Sarabi were more than glad to show Elsa their wonderful kingdom. However, before Elsa could inspect the slight details of the scenery, Sarabi turned towards her and said "Elsa, we are so happy to show you our world. Actually, I have known about your kingdom for so long but we have always wanted to know something..." Elsa looked at Sarabi in confusion and curiosity. "About your sister... your long lost sister..." "The wicked white witch!" A voice came from the group of animals. As soon as Elsa heard those words, tears rolled down her cheeks as she recalled the past...

BACK TO THE CAMPFIRE WITH FOXKNOT,

Shikubi: But hey! You don't have to make her sister evil!

Banapal: Well, things will get interesting if you guys hear me out.

Mama Papito: That was a cool story but I say we should spend the night with some singing!

Shikubi: I guess he is right, we shall continue next time.

Banapal: Alright, whatever you guys say... Hey! What has Pakalu been doing?!

Pakalu has already dozed off ever since Banapal said the first few words of his story.

Hello Everybodeh, Banapal and Pakalu here to tell you about some of the POKEMONS that are based on reality.

1.Vileplume

Lets start this with the biggest plant on EARTH! WOW, THATS CRAZY!! This Pokemon have the same characteristics as the plant, it can disperse its smelly smell to the air. 

2. Victreebel

Victreebel, also known as Pitcher plant have a lot of sweet juice inside it. Although its not harmful to human, this plant could be deadly to certain animal. With all those characteristics intact,  I still  look at them as if they are potatoes with leaves.


3. Poliwag

 

Poliwag is based on an animal called translucent tadpoles in real life. The reason to the statement above is because they both have swirls in the middle of their body. Unlike translucent tadpoles, Poliwag has a very round body.

4. MagiKarp

Deez magical creature is basically a fish that have a very thick scale to the point where they can compare to Nokia 3310
5. Trubbish

 


  You probably guessed it already. Trubbish is litterally base on a bag of garbage....It doesn't have anything else specific to talk about.

Hey guys! Mama Papito here and I know we have not been posting a lot these days. Not to worry! Foxknot has returned with a few posts (including this one) this month! To all the loyal readers or newcomers out there, welcome to Foxknot once again. Enjoy!

VARIETY OF MUSIC

As mentioned in our introduction, I listen to all kinds of music ranging from Disco/Techno music to Progressive Metal. I am a very open person when it comes to music and so here I am today to tell you guys all about having a large choice of music to listen to. I hope some of you who have something against any of this music will eventually see its good.

EVERYONE'S CUP OF TEA..

Alright, I will start off with music which everyone likes. Even different generations would love to be entertained with these kinds of music. Usually, this type of music is referred to as 'mainstream' by all sorts of social media. The songs we commonly hear today are a little something like 'See You Again' by Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth. This song has easily achieved 700 million over views on Youtube. This song is made as a soundtrack for the film, Furious 7.

Another song with similar achievements would be 'Uptown Funk' by Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars. This song is more upbeat and involves various dances compared to 'See You Again' which delivers a more melancholic feel.

ENGLISH POP

Having only slightly less popular songs than the ones above, these artists still managed to capture hearts and fans from all over the world. One of them which I personally like to listen to is One Direction. One Direction started with their debut studio album called 'Up All Night' which made a huge success and gained them tons of fans. This is one of their recently released songs, 'Night Changes' and my favourite from them, 'You And I'.

CHINESE POP/BALLAD

That is right, this is my favourite genre of music. As a Chinese who is not a complete 'banana', I listen to many Chinese songs. Some of the songs might be very familiar but you just can't recall where it was from or who sang it. That is what Chinese songs are all about, leaving unforgettable tunes in your head. To me, I think that Mandarin is a difficult language but easier to learn if you are interested in the songs involving them. One of the songs I would like to recommend is 'Rhythm Of The Rain' by Jay Chou. Yes, he is given the title as the King Of C-Pop if you didn't know and he even composes his own music, sometimes using band instruments to add a sense of rock music.

Another artist who is almost as famous as Jay is Wang Leehom. Unlike Jay who composes more pop songs, Leehom releases many ballad songs such as 'Your Love', 'Cracked Heart' and so on.

K-POP

I am sure this is not a very unusual topic in the world of music. In fact, the video with the most views and also the first video to obtain one billion views on Youtube is a K-Pop song, 'Gangnam Style'. Ever since the release of that song, many people accepted K-Pop and it eventually grew. I will not talk so much about K-Pop music because it just takes one to listen to it and immediately gather their thoughts. One K-pop song which I would recommend listening to would definitely be 'I Need U' by BTS(Bangtan Boys).

Another song I would like to mention is from a girl group and that is 'Heart Attack' by AOA. #KungKungDae

JAPANESE ROCK

If I have not mistaken, anime is so popular to an extend that everybody has heard of it. Most Japanese rock songs are made to be either a soundtrack, an opening or an ending for an anime. What I personally would say is that one can enjoy the song without watching the anime but to watch and to listen is a thousand of times better. One of the songs I would like to recommend is 'Always In This Place' by Ayane. This song is made as an ending for the anime-film, 'Steins;Gate The Movie'.

ELECTRONIC MUSIC

This will be the last topic I will touch on. This type of music is so popular that some songs are using electronic music without your realisation! Under electronic music lies many different types of genres such as DNB, house, progressive house, drumstep, glitch hop, dubstep(being the most popular) and so on. I recommend listening to 'The Girl' by Hellberg featuring a vocalist called Cozi Zuehlsdorff and 'Truth' by Tristam.

There it is, folks! We have come to the end of this post. Maybe some of you would be wondering why I am not talking about the Metal genre. Well, based on my knowledge, Metal has erupted a lot of controversial issues and is a sensitive topic for discussion. I know Metal music as good as I know the rest of the genres but certain things just cannot be said. Anyways, the next time you see my music playlist in my phone, I can assure you that it is just like entering a library with the largest variety of books possible. Which came first?!

Hello, everyone! Mama Papito here from Foxknot and I will be posting a vox pop that we recorded from a few people. The question that we delivered was 'The Chicken Or The Egg Came First?' and we successfully carried out an interview with the chosen people. THE CHICKEN OR THE EGG CAME FIRST?!

Brandon from Big Time Data,

Brandon is our first target because he was aimlessly walking in the class. Therefore, we decided to deliver our question to this unsuspecting victim. When we asked him, he was slightly frustrated as to how he should answer this question and scratched his head a couple of times before stating his opinion.

Opinion: Actually, egg must come first because if there is no egg, there will be no chicken. At the same time, no chicken means no egg.

Jun Shern from Jokers Online,

Jun Shern was filled with confusion when we just bumped into him and proceeded to ask the question. Unlike Brandon, he did not scratch his head too many times but instead, he was more confident with his answer. 

Opinion: Chicken because they have to mate to get the egg. No idea on this chicken or egg topic. No information at all. All based on general knowledge and previous experiences in chicken farms in 'kampung's. Maybe a big lizard lay an egg and instead of a baby lizard, a chick came out. Mind... blown!

Kai Boon from Big Time Data,

Kai Boon, yes! The future scientist of our class has agreed to help us in our interview. It was not very polite of us to interrupt him as he reads his books about cosmos, galaxy and SCIENCE. However, Dr.Boon is a very kind and gentle person. He settled down slowly, closed his books and was willing to answer our question. Let us hear from the future scientist!

Opinion:
It is not about which came first. It is about evolution. Every life on Earth begins from a cell organism. There is no egg in the beginning because single cells multiply by reproducing by itself. It is only when bigger creatures like fishes came then only eggs came. So, chicken came first. Egg is just a way that animals develop to protect their offspring.

Tania from The Cow, The Fish And The Riceball,

Unaware of the arrival of the Foxknot gang, she is still doing her work. BOO! She looked up and was quite surprised. Our victim has successfully been captured for this interview. It's only a question about chicken and eggs... Come on!

Opinion:
Chicken came first because there wouldn't be a chicken to hatch the egg in the first place. Whereas, a chicken would be able to lay an egg and hatch it.

Louisa from Loubritri

Walking towards our previous victim is Louisa! She is a very alert person. So, she was already expecting to encounter us sooner or later. "Hi Louisa, mind to answer our question?". 

Opinion:
Egg because the chicken can't just appear out of nowhere. Maybe two creatures mate and somehow the chicken became the results of the mutilation.

We can't have all the opinions from just one class right? Or rather one school.... Therefore, we have a special guest for our vox pop! Behold the Elder Papito! Since he is much older, we would be expecting some wise words from this friendly neighbourhood confucius! Well, let us hear what he has to say!

Hello guys, Mama Papito here and I am making a very short post because it is not my usual day to post. Alright, today I will be posting about five most creepy and unsolved mysteries all over the world. Before I move on, I would like to recommend you all to read our reviews on music videos. We would appreciate it a lot, thanks.

1. Taman Shud Case



A man is discovered dead on an Australian beach in 1948. The only clue was the words 'Taman Shud', written on a small piece of paper concealed in a hidden pocket of his trousers. These words were later translated as 'finished' in English. His identity and place of origin are still undiscovered by the police.

2. The Pollock Twins


In 1957, two sisters called Joanna which was 11 and Jacqueline which was 6 were tragically killed in an accident in England. A year later, their mother gave birth to twins, Jennifer and Gillian. Remarkably, Jennifer, the younger twin, had birth marks on her body exactly the same place as Jacqueline had them. Dr Ian, a well-respected psychologist, have concluded from the sisters' actions relating to the deceased twins that Jennifer and Gillian were most likely the reincarnations of their departed sisters.

3. The Green Children Of Woolpit


In the 12th century in Suffolk, England, two children popped up of nowhere. Their skin appeared to be green. They also refused to eat anything other than podded peas and talked in a strange tongue which was incomprehensible. The boy took ill and died while the girl managed to adapt to the community and 'survived'.

4. Overtoun Bridge 


This seemingly innocuous bridge in Dumbarton, Scotland, is a hotspot for depressed canines. Over fifty dogs have thrown themselves headlong from the bridge to death or serious injury. It also occurs in the same weather, to the same long-muzzled breeds.

5. Jack The Ripper


Perhaps the most famous serial killer of all time, the Ripper ran amok in the streets of Whitechapel, London in 1888 and the ensuing years. In all, 11 murders in the area have been attributed to the killer.
All of the victims were female and many had their throats sliced open before being relieved of their innards. The fact that Jack has managed to get away with his acts is a reminder to all the people who walk home alone late at night.
